Our office is located at 30 Sixth St. where the office hours are 8 am to 3pm Monday - Friday.  Closed from 12:30 - 1 daily. Other times are available by appointment if neccessary. The phone number is 315-736-9391. The Village Office issues building permit applications, handicap driver permits, garage sale licenses, park use permits, peddler permits, death and birth certificates. If you want to contact an official of the Village, please call the office and your message will be forwarded to the appropriate person. 


Village taxes are collected by the Town of Whitestown and are due by June 30. Payment can be mailed to: 8539 Clark Mills Road, Whitesboro, NY 13492 or you can pay in person. The phone there is 315- 736-9061. This 2017-18 tax rate is $12.16 per thousand and your bill should arrive the first week in June.


If you are a homeowner doing any additions, fencing or renovations to your property, please check with the Clerk or the Codes Officer at 315-736-9391 to acquire a permit. A small fee is charged and review of your plans is to be sure your project is in compliance of the Village Code and NYS laws.You can aslo download and print a copy of the building permit application from our website under the Codes section.


Our Police Department is a 24 hour, seven day per week operation. Please call 911 in an emergency. But, if you ever need other assistance you can call their office at 315-736-8331 and leave a message.


The Village Highway Department maintains all Village properties. They mow grass in the parks, plow the snow on Village streets, sweep the streets, collect green waste on Tuesday mornings, (place in containers, no grass), collect recyclables on Wednesday mornings and garbage on Thursday mornings ( Village bags must be used). If you have a large item to dispose of please call the Highway Garage and leave a message 315-724-2313 or call the Clerk's Office. Electronics can no longer be collected by the Highway Dept. as instructed by Oneida County Waste Auth. They accept these items at their facility on Leland Ave. in Utica. Bags are available at local merchants. There will be three bulk item trash pickups this year, please check the village web site for dates.


Our main playground is located on Campbell Ave. just off the intersection of Champlin Ave. The park opens July and closes at the end of August with supervision. A playground aide is there from 9:30am to 3:00 pm. An end of summer party is held late in August for playground participants. Our youth program for baseball is being directed by the Whitestown Youth Organization, please contact the Town for more information at 315-736-4224. Park equipment such as swings and ball nets are left out until October 1st for unsupervised play.


The Yorkville Fire & Hose Co. is a volunteer service; always happy to have new recruits; funded by the Village of Yorkville. There is also a fire auxiliary group and both groups have fund raisers to maintain an excellent fire company.


As we are a "green aware Village", we try to encourage our residents and businesses to follow the Oneida Herkimer Storm water guidelines to conserve and protect our fresh water. Our Yorkville Seniors Organization is very active with over 200 members. They meet  the third Wednesday of each month at 1pm in the community room. There is an elevator available. New members are always welcome. Please call Paul LaBella for additional information.315-200-8652


If you are new to the Village, please call Oneida County Board of Elections if you need to change your registration at 315-798-5761. Voting for the whole Village is done at the Municipal Building in the Board Room.
