A Public Hearing was held on December 18, 2018 at 6PM in the Municipal Building Board Room at 30 Sixth St. Yorkville. In attendance were Mayor Michael A. Mahoney, Deputy Mayor Thomas Thomas, Trustees James Collea, Richard Hayes and David Morosco. . The purpose of this Public Hearing was to hear a request from Stewart’s Shops for a zone change of 903 Champlin Ave. from R2 to C1.
Mayor Mahoney opened the hearing with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mayor Mahoney explained the purpose of this hearing and then opened the hearing for any comments
Chuck Marshal representing Stewart’s Shops was present. Also present were residents Rhonda Hnelosub, Mike Synakowski and Susan Vincent.
Rhonda Hnelosub of 909 Champlin Ave. expressed concern for the increase of traffic that this might bring. Hnelosub was also concerned about the property values in that area.
Mike Synakowski of 905 Inman Place also spoke and expressed concern for property values in that area.
Susan Vincent of 1028 Tabor Place had the same concern for traffic flow.
WHEREAS, ChucK Marshal of Stewart’s Shop has requested a zone change of 903 Champlin Ave. from R2 to C1.
WHEREAS, the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Yorkville Board held a meeting on December 18, 2018 and
WHEREAS, a Motion 111-2018 to approve the zone change of 903 Champlin Ave. was made by Trustee Hayes, seconded by Deputy Mayor Thomas; was approved by a roll call vote of 4-0.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Village Board of Trustees has approved the zone change of 903 Champlin Ave.

Mayor Mahoney explained that the next step in this process would be for the Planning Board to hold another Public Hearing to see the plans that Stewarts has for the property.
